I have the Weller Universal. 140/100Watt Model 8200 120v 60CY 1.2A. soldering Gun.
I have been unable to find replacement tips for it for over five years and recently tried
to buy some from Amazon.com . ‘They listed tips for the Model 8200, but when they arrived ,they had small 5/16 ” nuts where as mine requires, the larger 7/16″ nuts!
I loved the gun and sish I could use it again. Can you assist me?

There are Two (2) Weller Soldering Guns (model 8200 and D550), and
Weller’s Oldest Consumer Products, still in production.
https://www.weller-tools.com/us/en/consumer/products/soldering-guns
Obviously there have been production and design changes thru the years.
The most notable for all solder products was the global RoHS regulations (No Lead).
For the Weller 8200, the Solder Tip w/Nuts Part Number is 7135N

Weller® Copper soldering tip for Expert soldering gun 8100 and
Standard soldering gun 9200 (2 on card)
The Weller copper soldering tip 7135 is suitable for the soldering guns 8100 and 9200. The tips are available in a pack of 2.
I purchased a Weller 260 Watt & 200W Professional Soldering Gun Kit with Three Tips and Solder in Carrying Case | D550PK an Amazonin May of this year. Didn’t actually use until June (30 days past the Amazon return date), the product didn’t work, wouldn’t even start to heat, let alone heat in 6 seconds. Amazon wouldn’t help. So I found the website and filled out the “Contact Us” with my problem. Waited a week and no reply (said I hear from them in 2 days) So I returned and filled out the form again! this time over a month passed. I tried it again, over a week and NOTHING! Finally have gotten fed up and tossed the piece of junk and purchased another brand. Weller used to be the go to for sodering tools, Not anymore, they seem to be no longer concerned with customer satisifaction.
The failure to Test and Check a recent Amazon purchase (30 day warranty period) is on you. Double Check to Amazon Vendor for your purchase (Many 3rd parties).
I find that Telephone Contact with Vendor to be the Best Approach,
WELLER Apex, NC (2023): Phone: +1 (866) 498-0484
HOWEVER that is becoming more difficult with All Vendors (fewer Support Staff, Loss of Product Knowledge) and Amazon “Shell Resellers”.
Customer Support, in general, has eroded over the past 20 years.
For Weller, long-time employees (30-40 years) have retired over the past decade (especially 5 years ago during COVID).
Since 1988, American federal education policy has been “defund” high-school “Life Skills” (shop/vocational classes). USA Corporate Repair Centers began to disappear in late 1980s, with Replace and “Throw Away” policies.
In addition, Weller’s ownership has changed from Cooper Industries to Apex Tools Group. Weller designs now originate in Germany with production in Mexico or China since 2003 (Global RoHS standards, eliminating toxic materials used in manufacturing).

The Weller Soldering Gun is a very simple, induction heating tool (1940s).
The Number 1 issue (Soldering Gun) is not properly securing the Soldering Tips (Hex Screw or Tightening Nut) as that is part of the Heating circuit.
The only way that the Gun does not work, is a Break in wiring (broken wire in induction/transformer) or bad switch or connection.
